Article Summary Barium metaborate (BaO.B2O3 /BaB2O4) is a very often used additive that uses in dyes, plactics, textile, rubber, glue industry and for protection of wood meterials but it doesn’t produce in Turkey. β-barium metaborate crystal, the low-temperature phase of barium metaborate, is a non-linear optical crystal which has perfect properties. In this experimental study, microwave assisted synthesis was examined to produce barium metaborate for the first time.
